SMC 1+1 Program "Graduate College in 1 Year"
Students who are interested in welding as a career have the option to be a part of the SMC 1+1 program. In additon to the 18 credit hours students can receive in welding instruction, an additional 10 credit hours can be earned in high school core classes. Students will be able to graduate high school with 28 SMC college credits and continue their education at SMC for an additional year allowing them to graduate from community college with an associates degree in Industrial Technology in one year rather than two and a half. Students will need to take all college final exams and pass the classes with a 70% to gain college cedit. The additional classes cost $110 per class. Contact Jason Smith for more details.
